In 30 years, our church will be stronger in this new location and will be a great tool for reaching future generations with the gospel than it would be if we don't take this step of faith.
This can't be accomplished without prayerfully considering what God is asking you to do. God may not only be leading you to give, but also be involved with SBC on a greater scale.
The Legacy Project relies on every church member to make gifts "over and above" their current level of giving to your typical tithe or other gifts you give to programs like Dixie Jackson, Lottie Moon, etc...
As always, gifts can be given during offering time each Sunday or mailed in to the church office. For online giving through Paypal and more info visit www.sbcstuttgart.org.
Around 20 years ago, God provided for and led us, with great unity, to purchase a 10 acre plot of land on the 1800 block of 22nd Street with the intent to one day relocate our church family to that location. This location gives SBC much more visibility to most people traveling through Stuttgart. We will have much more opportunity and room for growth, and it will give us a more area-wide ministry.
Under the leadership of our Pastor, our Legacy Project Team presented a new building plan to our church family. These plans are largely based off of Harvest Church in Paragould, AR. You can find example pictures below. The building will be 1 story, 12,000 square feet with spacious Worship Center seating 300, large open designed Lobby with connected kitchen/bathrooms that will be multipurpose as a fellowship space. Classroom space will be limited, but as we adapt to a more flexible format we are confident this space will be usable for our congregation. A beautiful covered awning will greet visitors and a large cross display on the front corner of the building will shine a light toward our community that we want to impact with the Gospel.
On Sunday April 12th our church family voted to move forward with the building plans that have been presented. We’re excited to press on toward this goal and continue to seek not our will but His to be done in all of this. Church family, our monthly business meetings will be as important as ever to plan to attend each month so you can stay on top of updates to this project and help with further decisions. Look out in the future for a Ground Breaking gathering out on the new property soon. Please continue praying and giving as the Lord leads.
We know the Lord will provide!
